52 Weeks of Color Challenge (sort of) Iron and Patina

Color challenges: Iron and Patina (sort of-not exactly)

I won this Android skin from Nomine in the lucky chair today and couldn't help but take a picture and use it for the color challenge(s).

What used to be fun is now just irritating.

I used to enjoy logging in and popping over to some fun places to dance, listen to good music or just get out of my sl home/workshop.  The last 2 times I've tp'd over to one of my rl/sl husband's favorite places, I've been accused of scoping out someone else's "man".  Really????  (I guess they could see my camera views, but really, I was trying to cam in on  SOMETHING that would actually rez on my laptop which used to render things okay but with the latest "upgrades" from Linden Labs has left me feeling like my gaming laptop is a piece of crap!)  I really and honestly do not give two shits about your "man" who is actually probably a) a woman b) a 300 pound male who couldn't get a woman in real life anyway c) not my husband so I really don't give another shit about who you're sldancing with anyway!!  My rl/sl husband is 3 feet away from me playing Everquest thankyouverymuch!
And another thing...with the last update, while I am supposedly on the mesh viewer, my mesh stuff (including furniture) either does or doesn't show up and I'm a ghost & have to rebuild myself.  What a pain in the ass!  I've been messing with this for about 2 hours!  Thank you for the enriched experience Linden Labs but I'm about to say buh-bye!
I'm considering checking out the other sites that are like sl used to be.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Indigo

This week's challenge was tough for me!  I LOOOOOOOOOVE this color but realized that I had so little in my inventory.  I knew I wanted to feature the extra gift I'd made for the last Twisted Hunt - the bird cage hat with exploding feathers.  I was calling it "blurple" because that's just the only thing I could think of for a color name.  It's now available inside my store and while not free, is still priced pretty reasonably.

Since this my freebie blog, I wanted to feature a freebie or two...makes sense, right?  I was able to find this indigo cut out swimsuit on marketplace and everything fell together.

(forgive me that I'm on a laptop & can't jack up the settings enough to get the actual new, cool shadows of sl!)

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Coral Week 2

For this week's 52 Weeks of Color Challenge  the color was coral.  I'm not a big pastel color wearer in either lives--funny how my first life carries over into my second so much.  I scoured my inventory for coral and found only one item that was coral.  Now, I know that should've triggered me to start shopping, but I wanted to push a little further.  So I searched "blush" and "peach" because those colors are somewhat close depending upon your eye (and the designer's).  I didn't find any more clothing items so I decided this would be a headshot.

Back in my "old" real life photography days, we would've said the lights are too hot, but I don't care, I kind of like the effect.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Champagne. Week 1 = disaster

Okay, so I thought I'd join in on Luna Jubilee's 52 weeks of color blogging challenge.  Since I didn't do it last year I may as well bust it out for this year.  Well, my first (late) week into it and I've already turned a fashion blog into a disaster.
You see, I pulled up all the champagne key words in my inventory and it took me to my all-time favorite designer, Digit Darkes' timeless dress, Barely in Champagne, which made me miss her all the more since she was a great friend & is no longer in-world and we keep playing phone tag.  This led me to plunk on my champagne colored wig from Exile - Samara and in my deep sorrow of missing my friend, the champagne glasses in my inventory  just weren't  enough...nooooooooooo!  I had to drown my sorrows with a champagne bottle, Asti (no less!) from  Medhue Animations (pay attention to the attractive hiccups and stumbling).
Since all good parties end in the kitchen, I felt it only appropriate to take evidence-er...pictures here.

  What was to be so fashion photo shoot turned into disaster.  Ever have one of those nights?  Yeah, I knew you had.

**I think it's the one eye with the astigmatism that always seems to squint when I get drunk.  That's the tell that I've had too much!
